Local wild edible shoot also known as "Umbut Rotan";need to boil in water inorder to remove the bitterness taste before cook with desired ingredients
There are many ways to cook it;as shown in this pic it is cooked w/small chillies & pounded dried prawns saute w/a little bit of corn oil...it really taste yummy...
In this pic, it is known as Sambal Umbut Rotan i.e. pounded fresh chillies & shallots.Shrimp paste and kalamansi juice is a must ingredients in this dish/sambal...The combination of spicy,salty and sour really makes this dish a "THUMBSUP"
